I hinted at my work on a top-secret project to design a roleplaying game (see article). That was in January. It sure took me long enough. My publisher may have beaten me to the punch, but I'd still like to share with you the Roleplay Adventure Gaming Engine -- called R.A.G.E. for short. Plans are underway to draw up character sheets for the characters of the Gullwing series -- possibly even write up a few gameplay scenarios based on the novel.
R.A.G.E. is a game near and dear to my heart. Some friends of mine and I played it before it we knew what the rules were. For years it didn't even have a name. Now, for the first time, you too can see why this game is all the R.A.G.E.
R.A.G.E. has been published through Darkwater Syndicate. It's available directly from them, as well as through several other outlets. See below for highlights.
--Minimal bookkeeping and no need to split hairs. When in doubt, roll dice and move on.
--Story-oriented rules and quick gameplay ensure there won’t be lulls in the action.
Because It's Deep
--Player and party strategy can spell the difference between victory and defeat.
--Tactical formations, panic, fatigue, magic spells, miracles, heroic feats, and more.
Because It's Versatile
--The core system is designed to allow for play in just about any game setting.
--No fixed classes means you're free to develop your characters as you see fit.
Because It's Fun
--Want a challenge? Apply any of the four advanced rules modules included in the book.
