It's an amazing thing to write a book. When you finally get to hold what you've created, what you've worked so hard on for so long - it's quite a rush. The feeling is hard to describe, but's on par with being invited to discuss your work with others. This past Saturday, January 24, 2015, before a sizeable crowd at Books & Books in Coral Gables, I got just that opportunity. To everyone who came out to see me, I extend my heartfelt thanks. It would not have been anywhere as meaningful without you there.
The audience was treated to a double-header: a candid presentation on Miami's hidden history as told in "Miami Is Missing", and a discussion on "The Gullwing Odyssey", my fantasy/comedy adventure novel. All told, there was something for everyone.
If you missed last Saturday's presentation, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on all the fun. Order your very own copies of "Miami Is Missing" and "The Gullwing Odyssey" using the buttons below.

A three-time award-winning fantasy/comedy adventure. When an unusual assignment sends him overseas, Marco finds himself stranded in foreign lands. With no way home and no hope of making his delivery, he sees sour prospects for attaining his modest retirement dreams, much less getting out of the whole mess alive. Even that wouldn’t be so bad if he weren’t constantly outrunning pirates, embroiled in international intrigue, and attacked by a hummingbird with an appetite for human brains – that’s just the start of his misadventures. But lurking in the wings is a much greater threat than getting sacked from his job. The fate of an entire civilization may well rest upon his scrawny shoulders. In spite of himself and quite by accident, Marco may yet become the hero he strives not to be. |
